Pick up & Returns

Pick up and return the tree to our market stalls:
    • Tauranga Farmers Markets (Tauranga Primary School, 31 5th Avenue) between 7:45am – 12:00pm on the 22nd November, 29th November, or 6th December 2025. Return your tree on the 3rd of January 2026.
    • Papamoa Community Markets (Te Manawa o Papamoa School, 72 Te Okuroa Drive) between 8:30am – 12:30pm on the 23rd November, 30th November, or 7th December 2025. Return your tree on the 4th of January 2026.
All of our trees will comfortably fit in the back seat or boot of a standard car. Businesses and schools – get in touch about free delivery to your premises.

Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Tree Shepherds, where Christmas trees live happily ever after (with your help). Before you take home your festive friend, here are our House Rules (a.k.a. Terms & Conditions):

  1. Spread the Cheer
    Renting a tree means bringing a little piece of Christmas magic into your home – and promising to look after it while it’s with you.
  2. Tree Adoption = Agreement
    Once you’ve paid and picked up your tree, you agree to our rental terms and accept the tree in its current condition.
  3. Deposit Refund
    Our trees take years to grow big and strong. Please keep them watered and cared for. If your tree comes back happy and healthy, your deposit will be refunded within 4 weeks. If you’d like to keep the same tree for next Christmas, we can hold your deposit to reserve it. If your tree comes back thirsty, crispy, or damaged, we will need to keep your deposit. 
  4. Return Date
    All trees (plus their pots and saucers) must be returned by January 6th 2026 – time for the Shepherds to count the flock and make sure everyone’s home. Please remove all decorations before returning your tree. (Yes, even the rebellious tinsel at the back.)
  5. Future Christmas Guarantee
    While we love your tree as much as you do, we can’t guarantee it will survive or be available for next year. Trees are living things, and even the happiest tree may not return for another festive season. If you roll your deposit over but we can’t provide the same tree next year, don’t worry – your deposit will come back to you, or you can pick a new tree to fall in love with.
  6. Cancellations
    Changed your mind? You can cancel by email or phone within 5 working days of booking. The final cancellation date is November 30th. After that, the rental fee is non-refundable – but your deposit will still be refunded.
  7. Unclaimed Deposits
    We’ll always do our best to get your deposit back to you, but if we’ve contacted you three times to arrange a refund, and 18 months have passed since you last hired your tree, we’ll keep the deposit. By that stage, the admin costs are greater than the deposit itself, and we need to balance fairness to you with keeping our small business (and our trees) thriving.
